I recently stayed at Maison Bakea for three nights during my hiking trip in the area. The surroundings were wonderfully quiet, allowing for a peaceful and restful stay. Maria, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. She even let me store some food in her fridge for my hike the next day. It was a pleasure chatting with her as I settled into my comfortable room. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and the bed provided a restful night's sleep. There was also a convenient bar/shop just a short walk away, where I found delicious coffee and basic provisions from the friendly Patricia.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

had a wonderful stay in saint-jean-pied-de-port, but Maison Bakea exceeded my expectations! Great location, clean rooms, and the friendly and helpful staff made my christmas party unforgettable. Maria's multilingual skills were a bonus too.
